Parish Church of St. George, knight and martyr in Lič
To the settlers from 1605, Juraj Zrinski built the original church of St. George, while Nikola Zrinski later built the church of St. George in the present place. The year of construction is 1630, and the end is 1662.
The organ was bought in 1900 from Šalata, the builder of the organ in Karlovac, and in 1904 the Terracotta Way of the Cross was purchased.
During 1906, the Monument records that the statues of Sts. Peter and St. Paul for the Main Altar, as well as the new side altars of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with St. Rokom and Sv. Jerome, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary with St. Fabian on St. Sebastian. These saints are co-patrons of the place and the parish. During 1907, a new tomb of God was acquired. In 1911, a sidewalk was laid in the church - "trazzo granite".
In 1924. "On April 17, a large bell for the parish church weighing 580 kg was brought. Donated by Josip Starčević and a family from Lič living in America. It would be erected in the bell tower on the day of St. Mark 25 April. The second bell was donated for this parish church by the family of Slavko and Marija Starčević from Lič, living in America in the weight of 360 kg. The third bell, weighing at least 240 kg, would be procured by the benefactors of the inhabitants of Lika. The bells are dedicated in honor of St. Jurja, Bl. Virgin Mary and St. Antuna ”
Today, the church is a single-nave building with a nave in which there is a baptistery and choir, a prominent sanctuary (presbytery), sacristy and bell tower (tower). The main altar is dedicated to St. George who is celebrated 23.4. as the patron saint of the town, school and parish of Lič.
